Just as we strive to always serve in our clients’ best interests, ESG also believes that it is important to serve and give back to society at large. Beyond our duties to our employees, shareholders, business partners and their consumers, we know we must also be accountable to the communities in which we operate. These beliefs are demonstrated on a daily basis, from establishing a fair working environment, through to the programmes we have developed.
ESG’s Commitments to Socially Responsible Business:
-
Republic Polytechnic Scholarships.
To nurture talented students for the growing sports industry, ESG sponsored full scholarships to two Republic Polytechnic students from the Sports Health and Leisure Department in 2009.
-
Women Against Cancer.
In 2008, ESG spearheaded the Women Against Cancer campaign with the aim of raising funds for women’s health issues. The result was a partnership with Great Eastern that created the biggest all-women sporting event in Asia. The Great Eastern Women 10K raised a total of S$100,000 for the Breast Cancer Foundation (BCF) and Cervical Cancer Prevention Fund (CCPF). In 2009, the campaign captured the support of female international ambassadors and the wives of foreign dignitaries, aiming to raise a total amount of S$150,000.
