Mr Terence Khoo, Founder and Managing Director

Terence Khoo is responsible for leading and growing ESG’s business both internationally and in Singapore.

Since graduating in 1995 with a law degree from the University of Sheffield, Mr Khoo has spent his entire career in the business of sport. He has enjoyed stints as the General Manager of the Singapore Rugby Union, General Manager of Octagon RTA and Director of Sports Business at the Singapore Sports Council before leaving in 2005 to establish ESG.

Under Mr Khoo’s leadership, ESG has grown into Singapore’s largest home grown sports marketing company. Apart from being a market leader in its chosen sporting arena, ESG also engages in philanthropic causes such as “Women Against Cancer”, a programme set up by ESG to raise awareness and funds in the fight against Cancer.

In addition, Mr Khoo is a member of the Advisory Committee at the School of Sports, Health & Leisure at Republic Polytechnic where he contributes his industry expertise to the shaping of the School’s policies and programmes.

On the playing field, Mr Khoo represented Singapore in Rugby from 1988 before retiring in 2000. He has also had the honour to captain Singapore over several seasons. Mr Khoo is married to Serena and has two daughters.


   
Mr Benedict Soh, Executive Chairman, Kingsmen Creatives Ltd

Benedict Soh is the Executive Chairman of the Kingsmen group of companies. He is responsible for the strategic planning and business development of the Group (both domestically and internationally) and is also responsible for the day to day management of the company).

Mr. Soh has more than 32 years of experience in the design and production of interiors and exhibits. He is one of Kingsmen’s founders and has contributed significantly to the growth of the Group. Mr Soh was appointed to ESG’s Board of Directors in 2007. In addition to this he also serves as the Co-Chairman of the Special Technical Committee on Tourism and Exhibition Services, Public Affairs Committee of the Singapore Association of Convention & Exhibition Organizers & Suppliers and was a previous president of Rotary Club in Pandan Valley.

He is on the advisory committee of Northbrooks Secondary School and is a member of the Investment Panel for Spring Seeds Capital and International Action Crucible of IE Singapore. Mr Soh was awarded a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Hull in the United Kingdom.


   
Mr David Sim, Director, Head Business Development

As a Director/Head of Business Development of ESG, David Sim is tasked with spearheading the company’s commercial rights and sponsorship drive . 

A Dean’s List graduate in Business Studies (Marketing) from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), David began his career at the Singapore Sports Council (SSC) and emerged as a key member of the Sports Business Division. He was credited with playing a pivotal role in the growth of the Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon from its humble beginnings in 2001 to its status as an iconic national sporting event today.

During his stint in ESG, David created the Women 10K and the Kids Run which have since grown into the largest women-only running event and  kids running event respectively in Asia. Besides looking after all commercial and sponsorship matters in Singapore, David is also acknowledged for his role in developing the regional markets such as China and Hong Kong for ESG.

As an avid sportsman, David is well-versed in many sports as he represented his schools in badminton, table tennis, cross-country, athletics and soccer. He also captained the Home United Under-16 Soccer team and the NTU Varsity soccer team. In 2001, he represented Singapore in the ASEAN University Games held in Thailand as the Vice-Captain of the Singapore Combined University Soccer Team.
